        It was 8.30 a.m on a Monday morning, a salesgirl unlocked the door of a jewellery shop in Jalan Hang Tuah, Kuala Lumpur. Upon entering the shop, she was shocked to see the iron gate in the middle of the showroom was opened. The keys of the showcases were scattered all over the floor. The jewellery and the precious stones were all disappeared.

        The girl telephoned the shop owner, Mr. Kwan immediately. He arrived a short while later. Mr. Kwan checked the spot and found that the thief had escaped with approximately RM150 000 worth of diamonds and jade. The thief had also taken RM10 000 from a cash register. Later, Mr. Kwan called the police for investigation.
